Burstow says tell watchdog your tales of mobile misery

11.51.00am BST (GMT +0100) Thu 11th Jun 2009

Paul Burstow, MP for Sutton and Cheam, is encouraging constituents to send their 'mobile moans' to an investigation by the UK's largest watchdog into the mobile phone sector.

Mr Burstow is backing this consultation by Consumer Focus, the new independent champion for consumers, because mobile phone service agreements generated the second highest number of complaints from consumers in the past two years.

He is urging constituents to express their views about how they would like the mobile phone sector to be improved; before the Consumer Focus deadline of 23rd June.

Commenting Paul Burstow MP said;

'Mobile phones may be a part of our everyday day lives but consumer confidence in these companies is at rock bottom; over 100,000 complaints have been made in the last two years.

'Consumer Focus are championing the rights of us mobile phone users so I'm encouraging everyone to let them know how you feel about your phone and what you would change.'
