Patients will rightly take new MRSA targets with a pinch of salt

Paul Burstow MP, Liberal Democrat Shadow Health Secretary, responding to the Government's calls for MRSA infections in hospitals to be halved by 2008, said:

"Until the Government own up to the fact that they still do not know the true level of hospital infections and take the steps to find out, patients should take this announcement with a pinch of salt."
